Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile to be Included in King Tut Museum Tour

Posted on Friday, June 24, 2005 @ 01:56:10 am E.S.T

New York, NY – June 23, 2005 – Myelin Media Inc., a publisher of interactive entertainment software, today announced that its city building game for the PC, "Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile(TM)," will be included in the “Tutankhamun and The Golden Age of the Pharaohs” museum tour from National Geographic, AEG Exhibitions, Arts and Exhibitions International and the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities. As a partner of the tour, the game will be included with all exhibit-related merchandise as the treasures of the boy king tour the United States. Marking the return of Tutankhamun’s riches to North America for the first time in 26 years, the exhibit began at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on June 16.

"Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile" is a city-building game for the PC which allows players to assume the role of Pharaoh and lead the people of Egypt, uniting them to become a supreme ruler. Players can design and build their own magnificent cities in which inhabitants live out a number of professions in a detailed and realistic virtual society. As Pharaoh, players will direct their countrymen, building a lasting civilization through culture, politics and warfare, and erecting majestic monuments, even their own tomb.

“With its fun and educational gameplay set in ancient Egypt, 'Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile' is a tremendous addition to the treasures being shown on the upcoming museum tour,” said Gene Mauro, CEO of Myelin Media Inc. “The game is a wonderful way for families to continue their exploration of the world of Tutankhamun, and we hope it encourages those who attend the exhibit to delve deeper into this fascinating period of history."
