GTA San Andreas Not To Be Sold In Stores! - HOT!

Posted on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 @ 01:16:53 pm E.S.T

JULY 20 2005 - Gamer-Talk - The ESRB has released information regarding the high-selling game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The Mature rating it recieved when it was released was changed today to Adult's Only, and therefore the game will not be sold in stores any longer.

San Andreas's rating was changed due to the discovery of hidden code, entitled "Hot Coffee," found each copy of the game. "Hot Coffee" is a mini game that can only be accessed when hacked by a gameshark or patched on a PC. The mini game displays graphic depictions of the main character and a women of your choice having sexual intercourse, at your control.

Rockstar announced previously that this code was not inputted by the developers, however upon further investigation, it was simply locked code that could not be accessed. Now, people are pointing fingers at both Rockstar and the ESRB rating system to see who is at fault. No charges were pressed to either group, but we expect to see some hefty fines paid by at least one of them.

As of now, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will not be sold in retail stores. Each copy and strategy guide will be stripped from every retail store and sent back to their corporate offices, where they will most likely be shipped back to Rockstar. This is the first time an event like this has happened in gaming history, so we'll see what the next step of this fiasco is.

Well, they say Rockstar is taking the code out right now, so they will be able to resell it at the regular Mature rating, hopefully.

Looks like things are getting bad to worse for san andreas in the so called 'Hot-coffee' scandel.

An 85 year old grandmother is sueing rockstar games and take two interactive software inc.for including the hidden codes in the then rated M game the bought for her 14 year old grandson.

Sp basically shes suing them for having a sex in a game full of violence that is'nt inteneded for anyone under 17 that shes knowingly bought for her underage grandson.

What do ya expect in a game full of gangs?

Which means?

Actually the reason the game wasnt being sold was due to each company's personal policy to not want to sell games which hold the AO rating. EB Games simply put an AO sticker over the M rating and still sold the game.

Also, there is an update. GTA: SA will wash out the coffee stains and be rereleased soon back at the M rating so you will see it in all the stores who pulled it from their shelfs.

Yeah so that pissed me off at first just a little bit but you know it's kinda okay because it would get just like every other GTA and get really boering so it's a crappy deal, but life goes on

Yeah well It will probably be the biggest dent in the history of gaming but oh well stuff happens.
