Best of the Battlefield Online Tournament

Posted on Friday, October 28, 2005 @ 07:15:13 pm E.S.T

October 26, 2005 - To the victor goes the spoils ... Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced the Best of the Battlefield online video game tournament -- featuring a grand prize of $250,000 for the winning team.

The online tournament will challenge gamers to rule the battlefield in EA's new game Battlefield 2: Modern Combat(TM) available now for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft. Gamers can register for the online tournament at http://battlefield.ea.com beginning Tuesday, November 1st.

"Battlefield 2: Modern Combat raises the bar for online multiplayer action, and EA is making things really interesting with a $250,000 grand prize in the "Best of the Battlefield" tournament," said EA's vice president of marketing, Jillian Goldberg. "If you think you or your clan has what it takes to rule the battlefield online, here's your chance to prove it. Start practicing!"

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is the console debut of the blockbuster Battlefield franchise and delivers an all-new single player campaign alongside the series' trademark multiplayer action, including fierce 24 player online battles, the latest modern weaponry and more than 30 vehicles.

Void in a number of states and where prohibited. Eligibility restrictions apply. For complete tournament rules, please visit http://battlefield.ea.com.
